Statewide exhibition

One of my works was shown in a statewide exhibition today. My painting of a friend’s house titled “Welcome”, was even featured on the front page of the program for the exhibit.

Then, an added honor … my piece was one of a dozen chosen from the statewide exhibit to be on display for a full year at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at UW-Madison. Why the College of Agriculture? Well, the Wisconsin Regional Artists Program (WRAP) was founded in 1940 by John Steuart Curry, who was the artist in residence at the School of Agriculture. So every year the College of Agriculture honors this legacy by displaying WRAP artwork. I was told my piece would be on display in the Dean’s suite. So, I figure, it will be primarily viewed by troublemakers – ha! (Who else ends up in the Dean’s office?)
